J DAYS @ MRS. PAMS HOUSE
Monday
It was great to have the kiddos at my house this week. We learned the letter J. We started off with our circle time routine, we spent extra time on going over our charts. We played the weather says game during weather time.
The kids all got to jump around singing the J says Juh the J says Juh every letter makes a sound the J says Juh! and of course any opportunity to jump around and be silly they love! so they did not want to stop jumping!! We learned about orange juice and we got to make fresh orange juice and of course taste it. They were so excited to push down on my juicer and especially taste our sour juice. We had jello jigglers and orange juice for snacks.
We then learned about triangles and made our felt triangle christmas trees! I showed them a tree that I made and wanted them to follow the pattern, they were all able to get there trees done with some assistance.
We devoted the last part of class for practice for our christmas party! and they did great! they all learn so quickly!
Wednesday-
We worked on our popsicle christmas puppets, it was so funny to hear all of them pretend play with them. We reviewed our letter J and triangles and then practiced some more for our christmas party!!!
The kids are sure excited for Christmas!!!

Incredible learning at Mrs. Jeane's
What an INCREDIBLE day! Today we learned about the letter Ii. We discussed the different things that start with I... ice, igloo, insects, inchworm, iron and ice cream. Then we made the letter I with our clay. The kids did well with the activity. I was impressed with how everyone was on task. Kuulei was the first to complete her letter I. Next we played with ICE. The class described the ICE as cold, fluffy, white and soft. With the ice Malachi made igloos, Kuulei made ice cream pops and Kailia made both. Snack time was PB&J sandwiches with hot chocolate. During our snack time we sang Jungle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle little star. We did dot art and Kailia loved creating lots of art with all the dots. Kuulei loved making her art colorful. Malachi kept his art simple. Singing time was delightful. The kids loved using the bells to sing along with all the songs. We missed Aisa and Alema. All the kids kept asking about the boys. Hope you guys are feeling better.
Friday will be White day. Come to school wearing white. Also don't forget your gift for the exchange.

CHRISTMAS PARTY IDEAS?
Hi Funbox Moms!
Christmas is around the corner and I was thinking we needed to get our CHristmas party planned. We could invited the whole family and put on a little show for them, have potluck dinner and a gift exchange for the kiddos, maybe earlier in the month December so that we dont interfere with our individual family and ward parties. Here are a few things that I thought we could divide up just let me know which area you would like to head. THanks so much
- We need to secure a date- any ideas?
1. Food/Menu
2. Decorations
3. Activities/ games at party
4. Numbers for the party
5. Service project for december not necessarily for the party
Let me know what you think, and what you would like to add in or take away.
Thank you ladies!

Belated Review of the week at Ms. Julie's House
Sorry I didn't update the Blog for my week, until now. We focused on the letter F, for fish. I made some cards with pictures of things that start with F, such as Fish, Fox, Flower etc.... I then made a fishing pole out of a lg. Popsicle stick some ribbon and a clothespin (I left this in the box for future use, if you are interested). I let the kids take turn fishing for the cards and we talked about each one, emphasizing the F sound on each one. They absolutely LOVED fishing!!!! For our craft we made mosaic tissue paper fish and attached them to their own little fishing pole. For our snack time we played a little game of "Don't Eat Pete!" using goldfish crackers. It took them a little time to understand how to play but once they got it they didn't want to stop.
The next day we focused on the shape Octagon. we watched a classic sesame street clip on the octagon shape. I made a sm. stop and go sign for each of them and we played red light green light. We talked about the octagon having 8 sides so for our craft we made an Octopus out of an octagon. They needed a little extra help with this craft so I let the kids play outside while I helped each one individually. For snack time we had PB&J sandwiches cut into an octagon shape. We then read books about fish until the moms came.
Sorry I have no pictures this week, but I took this one of the crafts we did (they turned out so cute!) ;)

FIRST FUNBOX FIELDTRIP FUNDAY @ PUMPKINLAND (wow that's a tongue twister)
Despite it being BRRRR... cold, it did not phase the kids! They all had a blast!! This was my first time at the Vineyard and I must say I was thoroughly impressed and entertained! Julie led us astray and we got lost in the maze...hahaha..okay I did. LOL The kids kept telling us, "we are never gonna get out", another one said, "you should have brought a map", and another said, "we are lost" LOL! so funny! It was good fun trying to make it out of the maze, we were about to bulldoze through the corn to make our own pathway. They got to see HUMONGOUS pumpkins, get lost in a corn maze, see different types of vegetables, play on fun structures, see rabbits, peacocks, roosters, birds, goats, and the occasional mouse. We went through a light alley and finally got to pick their very own unique pumpkin! It was chilly so we had out lunch at Mrs. Julie's nice warm house. Julie took some great pictures!!! I have to say, Mama's you missed out! lol :)

MONDAY Review @ Mrs. Pam's House
First of all, so sorry my camera is officially broken, so that's on my wish list for Christmas, so this means I have no pictures to post....Sorry :(
Monday was a great day, it was nice having the kids back at my house, my how time flies. We started off with our usual routine with our circle time activites. I must say they are doing AWESOME, all of them know all our songs very well, and I am so proud of them knowing bits and peices of the pledge of allegiance. You are so right Mili, Repetition does pay off.
After our circle time, we played I spy A-E game, I wrote randomly A through E throughout the poster and I helped up the letter and they had to put a sticker over the letter I showed them. They all did so great, they wanted to put stickers all over themselves. We played another game, like mingle, but instead of getting into groups they had to run to the letter area I called out. My theme was halloween stuff, so we then played pin the nose on the pumpkin, they thought it was funny when they put the nose by his eyes.
We then painted paper plates orange to make pumpkins, however Ms Kailia refused to paint her pumpkin plate orange she wanted it to be blue, so she has a blue pumpkin, lol. We will finish this project at our party on friday
I had them feel the pumpkin and explain to me what do they see and feel. They said it was orange, cold, big, and bumpy. WOW! Great description. I cut the top open and they all helped clean the inside out except Kailia and Malachi they did not want to get dirty..hahaha! I let them taste pumpkins seeds that I roasted, they did not like the taste. We made Spooky Popcorn Hands great activity to help with their fine motor skills. I had to make 8 bags of popcorn because they kept eating the popcorn!!! lol
We read Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see? They loved this book, we read it a couple of times and it almost seemed like them memorized it...so smart our kiddos....
We had a great day, Kuulei did better with sharing her mommy today....

Upcoming Fun Filled Week!
Okay Funboxers! I am so excited for my week, we will have school Monday, wednesday and friday, and instead of me working on the letter F I will be doing a review of A-E. So here is a breakdown of what will be going on during my week.
Monday: Preschool at Mrs Pam's House 10:30-12:30
Wednesday: Field Trip to Pumpkinland Vineyard on Geneva Road. 10:30-12:30
I will need some Moms to accompany me for the fieldtrip, if you can make it please let me know asap. Everyone will need to just bring 1.00 to pay for their pumpkin, I thought it would be fun for them to be able to pay for their very own pumpkin. also please pack a lunch for your child to bring with them so we can have lunch at Pumpkinland. You are welcome to bring siblings too. The kids where their costumes if they want.
Friday: Halloween Party! 10:30 -12:30
Ok, I need the help of all of you for this fun party for our kiddos. I would really hope that all the mom's will be there, if you can not come, please let me know asap, so I can make other arrangements. For their activities at the party I was wondering if each of us can be responsible for one game or craft corresponding with the letter, shape, color or number that you taught on your week, of your choice. If you can have it ready by Thursday so I can set it up prior your arrival. Maybe 3 games and 2 crafts, let me know which one you would like to do. Also post what you think you will be doing so that we don't have doubles of games or crafts. The food will be potluck (kid friendly foods) , and also please bring candy to pass out while the kids trick ok treat around the back yard, so have your kids come in their costumes.
Let me know ahead of time if you cannot participate in any of the requested assignments.
Thank you for all your help!

WE DID IT! WE MADE IT THROUGH THE FIRST ROTATION.
Hello Funbox Preschool Teachers,
We did it, we made it through the first teaching rotation, and I hope you all had as much fun teaching and working with the kids as I did. I know for sure our children just love it and look forward to preschool every week. I am very excited working with all of you and your children. Now that we managed to get all the teaching jitters out of the way, lets get ready for our new cycle, maybe we can post and share online any resources and ideas that we may have to help make each others teaching experience be more fulfilling and enjoyable.
Great job ladies!!

Exploring and Picture Day
We went exploring with the letter E and the color orange.

| look at those smiles. |
| Love how silly they are together. |
Picture day was fun and the kids were full of energy. Kailia was a natural in front of the camera. Alema was so animated and I love to see how happy he is. I asked him to show me a sad face and it was the same as his happy face. I love his smile. Malachi kept saying he was freezing but that didn't stop him from turning on his smile for the camera. Aisa was anxious to get his pictures done quickly so he could run and play with the others. Kuulei has the cutest dimples and the camera loves her. Enjoy the pictures.
