Monday Madness @ Aunty Nani's 10/04/10

Alema was excited to have everyone come to his house this week!  We started off with checking the weather(Alema), each of them had to go to the window themselves to check the weather!!  We were missing our flag, which was later found - but I printed a flag on computer paper and Ku'ulei held it up for everyone to do the Pledge.  Then we sang the days of the week - I showed them how to make the number 7 with their fingers and they all did really well.  We also reviewed our colors - they all did fairly well with that also - then they all told me what color shirt they had on!  I was pretty impressed! 

Next came the letter "C".  We sang a little song  - "C" says cah, "C" says cah, every lettter makes a sound "C" says cah.  They seemed to like that.  Then we talked about things that started with C.  Like cat, crocodile, cow, catepillar, clown.  We colored our C papers.  For Science we talked about clouds. That was probably their favorite thing today.  They all thought gluing the cotton balls on the cloud was so much fun!  We had candy because that starts with C.  We also decorated our own cookies (brown paper bag circle). 

We had play time downstairs with Alema's toys.  They had fun with that especially Aisa, Malachi, and Alema.  Kailia found some of Kalei's high heels and wore those around the house for the rest of school.  Ku'ulei was miss Mom and was very helpful in telling the boys what they needed to do.  We read 3 books today and that was when I seemed to have their attention the most.  I let a couple of them take turn and pretend to read the book to the rest of them - that was cute because they just made up stories.  We had singing time also - we sang popcorn popping, baby bumble bee, if your happy and you know it, days of the week song, and mr. sun. 

Last but not least - all of them were so excited about the rain.  They kept running back and forth between my front room window and the family room window to see if it was raining on both sides of the house!  :)

Wednesday is blue day - please wear something blue.  And we will also do some circus activities - please have them bring either and stuffed animal or picture of something at the circus!  See you all Wednesday!!
